01

Our approach

OutPost uses a small amount of browser storage needed to provide and secure the service, remember choices and operate the free audit. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or session recording.

This notice covers cookies and similar storage or access technologies used on the OutPost website and app. The public marketing site does not currently run optional advertising or behavioural analytics.

02

Strictly necessary storage

Name or providerPurposeDuration
Supabase session cookiesSign-in, authentication and secure session refresh.Session or configured authentication lifecycle.
op_auditLets the browser return securely to a temporary free audit without exposing the audit identifier.Up to 30 days; the social connection itself expires after 24 hours.
op_audit_intentRemembers that an audit was started as part of onboarding, so the requested journey can continue.Browser session.
Security and delivery technologyProtects requests, balances traffic and delivers the site and app reliably.Session or short operational lifetime.
03

Preference storage

NamePurposeDuration
op_analyticsRecords whether you have objected to limited anonymous product analytics, so the app can respect that choice.Up to 12 months.

Removing preference storage may cause the service to ask again or return to its default position.

04

Limited product analytics

The OutPost app uses PostHog to understand aggregate visits, journeys and feature use. It is configured without advertising profiles, persistent individual visitor profiles, automatic capture or session recording. OutPost relies on the UK statistical-purpose exception and provides a simple, free right to object.

You can change this choice from the Cookie and Storage page inside the app. The app remembers that choice for up to 12 months.

05

Interface preferences

The app uses first-party local storage to remember limited choices on your device, such as dismissed dashboard prompts and whether you prefer a script or bullet-point view. These records do not follow you across other websites and remain until they are replaced or cleared in your browser.

06

App files and caching

The installed web app may use a service worker and browser cache for public application files so it loads reliably. Customer content is requested from the authenticated service and is not deliberately placed into advertising profiles or third-party browser storage.

07

Your controls

You can remove or block site data using your browser. Blocking necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and may stop the audit or other requested features from working. You can object to limited analytics without losing access to the core service.
