01

Who we are

OutPost is a software service operated by Shanie Martin, trading as OutPost, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom (“OutPost”, “we”, “us”). Contact hello@outpostsocial.ai.

These Terms apply to OutPost Business, OutPost Solo and related paid services. By creating an account or buying a subscription, you agree to them.

02

What OutPost does

OutPost helps businesses, creators and personal brands develop social-media direction, ideas, briefs, schedules and publishing plans. It may generate text and other suggested material for you to review and edit.

You can publish yourself or schedule a specific post for authorised publishing. OutPost only publishes material you have approved or configured for publishing. Connections use authorised platform access; we do not ask for or store your social-media passwords.

03

Your account

You must be at least 18, provide accurate information and be using OutPost for professional, commercial or business purposes. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it. If consumer law nevertheless applies to you, nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

04

Plans and subscriptions

Current plans, features, prices and any introductory offer are shown on the Pricing page and during checkout. You may choose monthly billing or, where offered, annual billing at the displayed effective monthly rate. Your paid subscription begins on the date stated at checkout and renews automatically for the same billing period until cancelled.

A free social-media audit is separate from a paid account and does not itself create a subscription. If an introductory offer is available, checkout will state its terms, when payment begins and how to avoid a charge.

05

Payments

Stripe handles payments. Monthly and annual subscriptions are billed in advance. Taxes are applied where required. If a payment fails, we may retry it and suspend access until the balance is resolved. We do not store your full card details.

We may change future prices by giving reasonable notice. A price change will not alter a period you have already paid for.

06

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel through billing settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the current paid monthly or annual period. Payments already made are not partly refunded simply because you stop using the service before that period ends, except where the law requires otherwise or we expressly agree.

If you are legally a consumer rather than a business customer, any statutory cancellation, cooling-off or refund rights that apply to you are unaffected by these Terms.

07

Your content and ours

You keep ownership of the information, brand assets and content you put into OutPost. You give us the permission needed to process that material and provide the service. Suggestions and drafts produced for you may be used by you, subject to these Terms and any third-party rights.

You are responsible for reviewing material before publication and ensuring it is accurate, lawful and yours to use. The OutPost name, software, systems, design and underlying technology remain ours.

08

AI and generated material

OutPost uses AI to assist with strategy, ideas, briefs and drafts. Generated material may contain errors or resemble material that exists elsewhere. It is assistance, not legal, financial or professional advice, and it does not remove the need for your judgement.

OutPost is intended to build from your real voice, work and brand. You must not use it to impersonate people, fabricate testimonials or present synthetic material as a real event or endorsement where that would mislead someone.

09

Acceptable use

Do not use OutPost to create, store or publish unlawful, deceptive, abusive, defamatory or infringing material; interfere with the service; bypass limits or security; introduce malicious code; scrape or resell the service; or access another customer’s information.

Only provide personal information, customer examples, testimonials, media and connected accounts that you are authorised to use. Avoid special-category or highly sensitive personal information unless genuinely necessary and lawful.

10

Connected platforms

Social platforms are separate services with their own terms, APIs and availability. You authorise OutPost and its publishing provider to access and act on connected accounts within the permissions you approve. You can disconnect an account, although scheduled or analytics features depending on it will stop working.

We are not responsible for a platform changing its rules, restricting an account, rejecting a post or making an integration unavailable, but we will take reasonable steps to explain material service impact.

11

Availability and results

We work to keep OutPost secure and available, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, provider incidents and product changes may affect availability. We cannot guarantee reach, engagement, customers, revenue or any other social-media result.

12

Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law, OutPost is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or data. Our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid OutPost in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

13

Suspension and ending the agreement

You may stop using OutPost and cancel at any time. We may suspend or close an account that materially breaches these Terms, creates a security or legal risk, remains unpaid, or misuses the service. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and allow an opportunity to remedy it.

If we discontinue a paid service, we will give reasonable notice where possible and address any unused prepaid period fairly.

14

Customer personal data

Where OutPost processes personal data on your behalf, for example personal data in uploaded media or material you direct us to publish, our Data Processing Addendum forms part of these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains processing for which OutPost is the controller.

15

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. We will give appropriate notice of material changes. Changes do not retrospectively alter a paid period without your agreement where the law requires it.

16

Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply where you live.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@outpostsocial.ai.
